There are so many decisions to make when it comes to wedding planning, so finding inspiration is always key! I’ve compiled some of my favorite wedding invitation and stationery inspiration from the past year to provide some you with some ideas. The three key things to consider when choosing stationery are, does it match the overall theme for your wedding? Will it get your guests pumped for the big day? And finally, will it photograph well along with your other details?

Although it’s tempting to include an image of you two on the invitation, consider adding it to the envelope separately. Keep the invitations focused on color and design. Make sure the font or script used also reflects the wedding theme. If it is elegant and classy a bold colorful font obviously won’t fit. Some fun things to add to your invites are maps of the venue, a short story about the two of you, or a sweet note to the guest to make it more personal.  Finally, choosing a pretty envelope and stamp ties it all together! Photographers often include this in the shot to help tell the story of the day.

It’s surprising how even the smallest details tie together the flow and feel of wedding photos. I personally love adding this photo at the beginning of wedding albums next to some photos of the venue to set the tone of the day. Ultimately, invitations are a sweet way to include your guest in the big day and make them feel special. I promise they will notice the thought you put into them. The images below will hopefully give some wedding invitation inspiration for every different type of wedding. There are examples of classic invitations, minimalist invitations, and artsy invitations!  As always, feel free to message me for any help and advice after reading this article. I’m here for you! 🙂
