Oh hey there! I'm Liesl ( Lee-sle ).
Hey hey! I’m Liesl ( Lee- sle )! I’m married to my best friend and we have the cutest little one year old August ( follow me on Instagram for all the baby fever worthy content ).  I absolutely looove being a mama. My little family is the reason I run this business, besides my deep love for telling stories. I’m passionate about self-improvement and meaningful relationships, hence why I am an intimate wedding photographer.  I’m an extroverted introvert. Extroverted me is all sorts of goofy and awkward ( silly songs and strange dance moves best describe that side of me ), but introverted me likes quiet days with cups of coffee and a long one on one conversations.
No one can ever describe themselves perfectly so I’m all about a phone call or in person conversation! Let’s be friends!
My Approach
Before I got married, I thought wedding photography was just about pretty shots of the bride and groom. But then, so many special moments weren’t reflected in my own wedding photos, like my grandmothers sharing a blanket by the fire or my husband writing me a note before I arrived. After that experience, I realized how much more I would have valued my photos if they had included the people surrounding me who made the day so special, rather than the 600 photos I now have of my husband and myself.
This gave me a new perspective about photography, and inspired me to begin focusing on the fleeting, little moments that make personal relationships so special. Of course, you’ll get that “wow” shot to show off on Instagram and to hang on your parent’s wall, but you’ll also get the little moments that tell the story of your day just as it really happened.
When I photograph your wedding, I go all out to make sure you feel understood, comfortable, and valued. I am more than just some girl who shows up on the morning of your big day and emails you a bunch of artsy photos 3 months later. Instead, I’m invested in the whole process. From sending you a guide of practical tips for the wedding (like checking what time the sun sets and planning your ceremony accordingly) to making sure your whole family feels heard and taken care of, you’ll get not only the best of me as a photographer, but the best of me as a person, too.
