Cape Cod Intimate Wedding
When I opened Elise and Aurelio’s inquiry for their Cape Cod intimate wedding, I screamed. Not only has it been a goal of mine to photograph more weddings on the Cape, but it has been a serious DREAM of mine to photograph a wedding on Sea Street Beach. Like Elise, I grew up spending my summers in Cape Cod and playing on Sea Street beach every year. I couldn’t believe that it would be their ceremony location. Jaw on the floor.
I love big weddings, but there is something so special about intimate weddings, especially a Cape Cod intimate wedding. So much thought went into every person who attended. It felt like one big family the entire day. Elise’s parent’s house where everyone got ready was calm and laid back. Everyone enjoyed their time together as they anticipated the ceremony.
When the time came, all the guests and family piled into the cutest trolley for a quick ride to sea street. At the beach, a crowd gathered in anticipation of the ceremony. Even my Grandma who lives up the street had come down to watch the event. When I was little I would get so excited when I saw a wedding on the beach. Looking around I saw so many little kids in awe of what was happening so, of course, I grabbed a few photos of all the onlookers.
Elise and Aurelio’s wedding took place on the summer solstice and they couldn’t have asked for a more perfect evening. After the ceremony, we explored Elise’s favorite spots for their portraits and watched the breathtaking Cape sunset. We ended the evening with a trolley ride back to the house and releasing butterflies at dusk. There couldn’t have been a more perfect day.
