Colorado Wedding
Mary and Joe flew me up to capture their dreamy Colorado wedding! It was such a privilege to feel such a part of everything during this trip! From hanging out with the girls during the bachelorette to sitting with the family during dinner, I felt completely at home. I am thankful for the amazing friendships this job provides me!
Looking back at some of my shoots I have done over the past couple of years I am awestruck at the incredible power of a photo. Your Wedding is one of the greatest milestones during your life. It is the moment where you decide to take your best friend and promise yourself to them for the rest of your life. A decision that for most of us, could not be described in words why we chose that person, but rather a feeling we have deep inside that tells us they are the one.
After your wedding day although the flowers may die and your guests return home. You feel the memory has faded leaving a beautiful relationship in its wake. During those moments of doubt or uncertainty down the road, moments of joy and ovation an unintentional glance at your wedding album brings all the memories back. They act as a reminder. A reminder of how you felt while playing calm getting your make up done, the small intricacies of the venue you noticed the table settings and colors you picked all matching and filling the room with warmth. The feel of the air and smell of pine come back to you and remind you why you chose a Colorado wedding. The beauty of that landscape matched the beauty you felt all around you.
The power of a photo, as the National Geographic states it, “has the power the power to transport us to unseen worlds.” When I look at these photos, I feel the brides nervousness, the grooms anticipation, and even the feeling in the room, as couples old a new remember their love for one another. Shoots like this are why I chose photography as my profession. To capture and hopefully share those moments with others, touching their lives in even the slightest of ways.
Mary and Joe’s day is one I will always remember, and I can not wait to go back and shoot another Colorado Wedding!
